Holiday Donations.....

Picture
SAFE is incredibly grateful to receive support from the community during the holiday season.  We are always looking for ways to engage our donors while creating a memorable experience for the women and children we serve.  The SAFE holiday giving program has moved towards a new model for our clients where we focus on empowerment, love, and support this holiday season.  We welcome you to make a difference this holiday season while participating in this year’s holiday giving program.  Please note that NO used or wrapped items will be accepted as holiday gifts.  See below for the complete list of gift suggestions as well as an explanation of the new holiday giving program and contact the office for further information or questions.

How it works?

We are asking the community to purchase the items included in the holiday giving opportunities document attached. We plan to then host a festive ‘shopping’ day with the items collected for the women to come and make their selections for their children. We will have treats, music and a festive environment for the women to do their shopping and wrapping.

Why?

The vision of this type of holiday giving is driven by the individuals impacted by the abuse in efforts to avoid the re-creation of power dynamics present in abusive relationships. Here at SAFE we want the women to feel special and supported during the holiday season and feel that giving our clients the opportunity to go ‘shopping’ for their children will be a great way to empower our women to make decisions.
